Kathryn Marshall is a fine art photographer. She became interested in photography when she enrolled in a 4-H photography project as a teenager. However, her passion for photography did not blossom until 2011 in her retirement years. Kathryn’s likes to find and bring out the beauty of nature through her photographs. She especially likes to take pictures of flowers. In addition, she likes to take pictures of the buildings and scenes in Sedalia, Missouri, where she resides.

Kathryn does not have any formal training, but constantly seeks to learn more about photography. She belongs to the Mid MO Photo Club, the Sedalia Photo Club, the 365 Photography Project on the Internet, and the Sedalia Visual Art Association.

She has had three photos accepted into the Top 50 art exhibit at the Missouri State Fair. She has won awards at the Missouri State Fair’s Floriculture Photo Contest, the Camp Photo Contest, the Cole Camp Prairie Days Photo Contest, and the Ag Expo Photo Contest. In the spring of 2016, her photographs were on display at a Sedalia retail store. In addition, her photographs can be viewed at the Goddard Gallery, in the Daum Art Museum, in Sedalia, as part of the annual summer exhibit by the Sedalia Visual Arts Association. In August and September, 2016, she will have a photographic display in the lobby of the Sedalia Municipal Building.
